We also had a lot of funwith this HiFi Upcycling

In fact, a really great product has been created again! As a result, friends of older radio models will get their money's worth here!

Work steps

• At first we treated the veneer with a wood filler, wax, shoe polish and more.
• After that, we sealed the radio with shellac. Thereafter, the difference is clearly visible!
• Finally, we applied a finish with Schleierfrei from Hermann Sachse.

The result is a beautiful shiny wood, see for yourself!

Technical details

• The tech unit is an Asian radio #5088 with USB port.
• Mini amplifier
• Color display and Bluetooth hands free
• Built-in speakers are Pioneer TS-G1030F (3 way). Thus, we get great sound quality!
• 2 USB charging sockets with 3.1 A and one 12 Volt socket
• All brackets are made of polished PLA.

Natural materialsare important to us

At the end, we made the sound insulation with sheep wool from zoo Arche Warder.

The resultis convincing

Finally, it turned out to be a great Blaupunkt radio 4GW646K with a good sound and can easily keep up with current products. We always have a lot of fun breathing new life into vintage treasures!
