We have built a beautiful vintage speaker! The 50s loudspeaker Schaub Lorenz Stereovox-T Type 688-1 is a real eye-catcher in itself. Therefore, we should not forget them! Therefore, we decided to start a renovation. However, the external appearance has not been changed! This loudspeaker is usually available as a duo, but we only had one copy.

Work steps

• Cleaning
• Complete reconstruction of the interior
• Connection of 12 V transformer
• Use of 2 subwoofer speakers 2 ways (30 watts each)
• Use of Bluetooth amplifier
• Sheep wool, which comes from Kiel, is used as the insulation material.

We installed the 2 x 2-way subwoofer speakers from an LCD television.

Technical details

Inside there is a 2 x 15 watt Bluetooth amplifier, which also functions as a receiver. A 12 volt power supply powered the Schaub Lorenz loudspeaker, so you can it also use in vintage cars. And a code addressed the amplifier, which we have attached below. While playing a CD, you can hear the audience talking! This fact increases the fascination of the device! In addition to the typical 50s style, we also have a good sound quality.
